August 2021: On arriving at Seaview Crescent after a long journey, we felt we had arrived at an overseas. deluxe holiday villa: not only was its location idyllic, set up high overlooking Perranporth with its surrounding cliffs and magnificent beach, but the crescent itself was comfortably ensconced amongst fields, given a sense of pastoral retreat and tranquility. The house itself far exceeded our expectations: it was spacious, delightfully decorated and furnished, with plenty of windows allowing for sunlight to stream in from every angle, including the patio doors leading onto the balcony, where we sat for evening aperitifs watching the sun set behind Perranporth bay (just 10 minutes walk down the hill). There was plenty of room for two families...with stylish double bedrooms, 3 contemporary bathrooms and a generous and roomy kitchen-diner. The kids loved hanging out in the comfy lounge, with its large TV, X-box and other games...and balcony. Beyond the house, there was much to do and plenty to explore, with a selection of spectacular beaches and bays within a short drive, walks (either local or beyond), and if venturing further, Newquay and other popular towns not far away. As well as surfing lessons at Perranporth beach, a highlight for us was visiting Crantock Bay, a spectacular spot which reinforces Cornwall's unique qualities. Our week's holiday was a definite success and one we will not soon forget.
